Heaven Hill Deatsville 13-Year Bottles a Fading Rickhouse Campus

Seventeen barrels from Rickhouse AA’s third floor mark one of the last fully Deatsville-aged bourbons before the campus shifts to regauge-only — $199.99.

Heaven Hill Distillery is bottling a goodbye note to one of its most distinctive aging sites. Heaven Hill Deatsville 13-Year-Old Bourbon — announced February 26 — pulls from just seventeen barrels aged on the third floor of Rickhouse AA at the Deatsville campus, originally home to the shuttered T.W. Samuels Distillery and under Heaven Hill stewardship since the early 1980s.

Heaven Hill Deatsville 13-Year bottles in a rickhouse

Deatsville’s nine rickhouses (about 167,000-barrel capacity) are the only Heaven Hill aging campus with tiered roof architecture — a stack-effect design that moves warm air up and cooler air in. All nine buildings are slated to shift to regauge-only over the next 12–24 months, so this 13-year traditional mashbill (78/10/12) is framed as one of the last chances to taste whiskey matured entirely on site. Suggested retail is $199.99; early access ties to a new Deatsville Tour & Tasting experience with tickets from March 15.

Vice President of American Whiskey Susan Wahl cast the release as tribute to the brands, barrels, and people who kept those rickhouses alive — including barrels that fed Parker’s Heritage Collection favorites. More Deatsville commemorative chapters are planned through 2027.
