Elijah Craig 21-Year Single Barrel Debuts on National Bourbon Day 2026
Heaven Hill’s deepest Elijah Craig age statement hits select distillery drops and markets at 94 proof — mahogany, milk chocolate, and two decades of patience.

National Bourbon Day 2026 brings a new ceiling for Elijah Craig hunters: a 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Kentucky straight bourbon, limited to select distillery drops and markets.

Heaven Hill’s own copy calls bourbon-making a waiting game — out of millions of barrels, only a thin slice earn twenty-one years, and even then master tasters can still say no. Each qualifying barrel is dumped and bottled on its own, with barrel number and bottling date handwritten on the label. The pour sits at 94 proof: rich mahogany color; toasted oak, leather, and complex spice on the nose; milk chocolate, toasted nuts, and burnt caramel on the palate; aged oak, molasses, barrel char, and pepper on the finish.
Suggested enjoyment is neat, which is the brand’s polite way of saying don’t hide two decades under a mixer. Allocation will be thin; if you already chase EC18 and Barrel Proof, pencil June 14 onto the calendar and watch local drop rules closely.
