BarrelPick.com launches bourbon barrel ownership platform in Kentucky

BarrelPick.com has launched a bourbon barrel ownership platform that lets consumers purchase, age and eventually bottle full barrels, with storage and bottling services in Kentucky.

BARDSTOWN, Ky. — A new bourbon-focused platform that allows consumers to purchase and age entire barrels of whiskey has launched in Kentucky, adding another business model to the state’s growing bourbon and tourism economy.

BarrelPick.com officially debuted during the 2026 Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown. The platform allows individuals, families, businesses and organizations to purchase full barrels of bourbon, continue aging them in Kentucky and eventually bottle the whiskey as a private single-barrel release.

The company says its online marketplace currently provides access to more than 1,000 barrels from more than 20 distilleries and whiskey producers across the United States. Available inventory ranges from newly filled barrels to whiskey that has spent more than a decade aging in oak.

“Most people experience bourbon only after every important decision has already been made,” said Steve Scheidecker, founder of BarrelPick.com. “We wanted to give people the opportunity to experience bourbon from the other side of the barrel. You can choose the whiskey, follow it as it ages and ultimately decide what that barrel becomes.”
