Ghostwood Adds High Rye Bourbon To Line-Up

Ghostwood, the Montana whiskey brand, is adding 3 Brothers Bourbon, a six-year-old high-rye that founder Lucas Perks named for evenings he spent outdoors with his two brothers. It is the fourth whiskey in the core lineup, with a suggested price of $49 for 750ml. It is sold online where shipping is allowed and is due at some Texas retailers in October.

Corn makes up 60 percent of the grain, rye 36 percent, and barley malt the remaining 4 percent. Distilled in Indiana, it rested six years in charred new oak, a level-4 char, before Ghostwood Distilling Co. bottled it at 80 proof in Columbia, Illinois. The release lines up with all three brothers joining the family business. It ships in clear glass with the familiar label and cork, rather than the dark bottles used on the rest of the range, and it joins the original blended bourbon, Barrel Proof Black, and the Chardonnay cask.
