Jack Daniel’s Bottled-in-Bond Rye Becomes a Permanent Pour

Brown-Forman’s bonded rye moves from novelty to lineup staple — charcoal-mellowed rye at 100 proof with cocktail-friendly spice.

Jack Daniel’s followed its age-stated Tennessee whiskey moment with another bond-era callback: Bottled-in-Bond Rye as a permanent expression, not a seasonal blink.

Bonded whiskey means 100 proof, one distiller, one distilling season, and aging in a federally bonded warehouse — rules Colonel E.H. Taylor would recognize even on a Tennessee label. For bar programs and home shelves already heavy on bourbon, a charcoal-mellowed bonded rye is an easy bridge into Manhattan and Highball territory without abandoning the Jack flavor family.

We’re filing it next to the 10-year: proof that the biggest American whiskey brands still find room to talk about age, bond, and grain when the core line needs a sharper story.
